Free Screening of "Giants" Under the Sequoias! Sept. 7, 8pm

We are very excited to announce that we will be screening the acclaimed new 26-minute documentary "Giants", about our efforts to Save The Giants, underneath the sequoias on Saturday, Sept. 7th at 8pm.  Filmmaker Luz Carasa and her team collected extensive interviews and compiled lots of never-before-seen footage from the exciting and tense stand-off between developer Vic Remmers and the community which wished to save the giant sequoias from destruction.  Come re-live the inspiring events on the big screen - you'll see what it was like for Lorax Dave in his platform shelter, hear first hand accounts of how it all went down, view wild drone footage of the renegade arborists who scaled from tree to tree during the showdown.  Please bring a chair or blanket and join us for a what will be a memorable evening and celebration of a time when a community "cared a whole awful lot."
