Learn from the Trees!

Save the Giants Park welcomes school groups who wish to visit and learn about the sequoias and the many ways in which large trees benefit our environment.  While the park landscaping is currently in development we are still able to host classroom groups with advance notice.  It's a great place to spend a morning or afternoon and we love sharing the remarkable story of how these trees were saved with young people.  Below are a series of 13 downloadable lesson plans researched and created by Maggie Hoffman for younger groups visiting the park as well as two sets of recommended reading lists, one for students and one for teachers:
